The HVRSD serves the students of Pennington Borough, Hopewell Borough and Hopewell Township. Funding provided by the HVEF brings enrichment programs, curriculum, professional development, technology, and other programs to the school district – programs that help make the schools of Hopewell Valley outstanding and provide our students with a rich and diverse educational experience.

What is the Hopewell Valley Education Foundation?
Is it another PTO?  How is it different from the school’s PTO?

The HVEF is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 grant-making organization that provides funds for enrichment programs in all Hopewell Valley public schools. The HVEF is different from the school’s PTO because we fund activities throughout the district. However, we work with the PTOs on many programs such as the annual Author-in-Residence. The HVEF works directly with district faculty, staff and administrators to fund programs that are beyond the means or outside of the mission of any individual school’s PTO.

How does the HVEF raise money? Here are just a few ways…

The HVEF raises money by forming partnerships with local businesses, corporations and district parents. Each fall we sponsor a Booklovers’ Luncheon that raises funds for the Author-in-Residence program. The spring E²Awards Dinner recognizes each school’s Teacher of the Year as well as individual and corporate supporters of HVRSD schools. We also have a popular Teacher, Staff and  school Recognition program.
