Grants in Action: Student artist on display

Artwork by Tyler Bell

Last spring special needs student and artist Tyler Bell held his first art show.

The proceeds were donated to the HVEF to fund programs in the district that would enable regular and special needs students to interact and share experiences through art. Director of Pupil Services Celeste Curley has contracted with VSA of New Jersey for staff training in strategies and approaches for providing integrated art instruction to special education students with their general education peers.  The programs are taking place this February and March.

Tyler will be holding his next art show at PEAC in April. To view Tyler’s work, visit his Facebook page.
